Model Introduction
The Ranger Z20 Comanche is one of four high-end, tournament-level, high-performance bass boats in Ranger's Comanche series. The Ranger is an able performer, with sure handling and capable of speeds to 70 mph. Designed for two anglers to fish comfortably at the same time on fore and aft casting decks, the Z20 is loaded with both storage space and fishing amenities, including a 2-compartment livewell, lockable rod storage and a high-capacity electric trolling motor with generous battery capacity.

Construction
The Ranger Z20 Comanche Bass hull starts off as a layer of gelcoat sprayed over a female mold. This is followed by a 3-oz., resin-rich layer of fiberglass chop that helps to prevent osmotic blistering on the bottom and cosmetic print-through of the fiberglass weave pattern on the hull sides. A series of fiberglass laminates follows to complete the hull skin. The hull is supported by a one-piece fiberglass longitudinal grid that is held precisely in place with a jig and fiberglassed to the hull. Holes are drilled and the hollow stringer system is filled with foam and sealed off""the closed-cell foam used throughout the hull, including inside the hollow stringers, deadens sound, stiffens the structure and makes the boat unsinkable. In fact, all Rangers are unsinkable, with foam used extensively throughout the structure to fill voids and create positive buoyancy even if the hull is damaged. The foam also adds stiffness to the hull skin, and makes the boat quieter, reducing wave noise transmitted through the hull.
